Start
On Saturday, September 12th 2026 the focus of the 26th WACHAUmarathon is on the young runners!
These young runners have always been important to the organizer, Michael Buchleitner, as he himself went through all the stages from young runner to late top athlete and three-time Olympic competitor.
The WachauJUNIORmarathon offers distances ranging from 200 – 2.100m for children and youth aged 3 to 16.
The start and finish line are in the official finishing area of the WACHAUmarathon.
Each participant gets a finish medal and a Hohes C bottle.
Be there when the next generation races through the streets of Krems!
Starting blocks & route
The WachauJUNIORmarathon starts directly in the finish area of the WACHAUmarathon (Stadtpark Krems). The runners have different distances to overcome, considering their age. The starting times are as following:

The registration is possible until August 31st, 2026. Late entry for a fee of € 20,- on the day of the event. For a group registration (from 20 people) please contact the organizer directly.
The bib pick-up is only on Saturday, September 12th in Krems at the EXPO possible.
